Netmonitor has been developed to allow monitoring, from remote
positions, a network of time and attendance and access control
terminals.
Unlike the traditional monitors based on standard
protocols (e.g. SNMP), NetMonitor can exchange data with
the network interfaces integrated in the Selesta Ingegneria
terminals, to provide specific information, hardly obtainable
with other systems, related to the operational state of the
connected equipment.
NetMonitor records on a "log" dbase
all the events (selectable at will) and is able to generate
e-mail messages, containing the specific events.
It operates
in the Windows 9X, NT ,2000, XP environments.
Functions
With NetMonitor it is possible
to verify in real time the main conditions of state of the
terminals and of the relative integrated LAN connections,
such as
•
Device present on the network (answer to ping)
•
Terminal
containing more than n stampings (n is a configurable threshold
value)
•
Terminal with hardware anomalies (e.g. out-of-charged
battery, operations on battery, network interface isolated …);
•
Terminal
with software anomalies (e.g. firmware not updated, programming
of daylight saving time change not updated, clock not synchronized,
etc…)
•
Specific states of the network connection
used based to the type defined in the dbase.
